ULF HOUSING & CONSTRUCTION CO. W.L.L. was established in Qatar in 1976 as a Building and Civil Works Contractor, incorporating a separate Division specializing in the manufacture of SPACEMAKER portable pre- fabricated buildings. The Company has grown to be one of the major construction companies in Qatar and has gained a proven reputation for quality workmanship on a wide variety of projects which have been completed on programme and within budget, and has achieved GRADE 1 status for Building Contractors, the highest grade classified by the Government of Qatar. We also hold ISO 9001 Certification.

In 1996 we formed a Partnership with then Tilbury Douglas, now Interserve Plc of U.K. and with this added strength and support of a major construction services provider, we can now undertake the most demanding of projects.

We have developed a broad client-base, both in the Public and Private Sectors, and have carried out Contracts for such national organization as Qatar Petroleum (QP), Qatar Fertilizer Company (QAFCO), Qatar Steel Company (QASCO), Qatar Public Telecommunications Corporation (Q-TEL), the Ministry of Municipal Affairs & Agriculture (MMAA) and MEW (Al Kahramaa).

We have also participated as a main subcontractor to International Contractors such as Bechtel, Chiyoda, JGC, LG, and Hyundai on large industrial projects for Qatar Petroleum, Qatargas, Rasgas and QAFAC. Recent major projects include the LNG Debottlenecking Qatargas Plant at Ras Laffan, Building works for QAFAC Plant at Mesaieed, Al Dafna Conference Centre for Doha Sheraton, an Olympic Standard Aquatic Facility for Qatar National Olympic Committee, new Qatar Main Office Building for HSBC, International School & Admin/Warehouse Building for RASGAS, Doha Airport Terminal Building Extension for Qatar Airways, Movenpick Business Hotel, Building work for NODCO Refinery Expansion Project at Mesaieed and NGL4 Project Civil and Building works for Hyundai at Mesaieed and Dukhan. We are currently engaged in Construction of Basement + 20 floors Tower at West Bay which involved a single pour of 4119 Cubic metre of concrete in basement raft, College of Technology Building and few substations.

We have entered into our First Partnership Agreement with Commercial Bank for renovation, refurbishment of their Head Office and all branches throughout Qatar.

The ‘SPACEMAKER’ Division is the market leader in Qatar for the manufacture and supply of all types of portable pre-fabricated quality buildings ranging from Private Villas, Site Offices to Accommodation Camps for major projects. One such camp was for a workforce of 5000 at the QATARGAS Project.

We have also established 'AL MANJARA (Joinery)' Division which specializes in first-class joinery works for Banks, Hotels, Offices, etc. including complete fast-track fitted furniture for the Movenpick Business Hotel in Doha.

We have a current staff & labour force dedicated to our works within Qatar of above 2000 people.
